You want to be more open with people,
You want to tell your friends or work colleagues about your life,
But you’re afraid to.
You believe that it you speak openly then they won’t like you, or maybe they’ll think you’re weak (or something else negative).
You’re hiding yourself.
And it’s so incredibly hard isn’t it?
I wanted to do a video blog and fear seemed a good topic to choose because it’s my first video to camera and I could easily have talked myself from worry to fear in no time at all.
If you watch (it’s just over 3 minutes), you’ll find out what it is about fear that keeps you stuck and I’ll explain how you can start to re-train your brain so you can kick fear into touch.
To quote the fantastic book by Susan Jeffers I ‘felt the fear and did it anyway.’ And I can say that, whilst the ‘doing’ was stressful at times, I learned so many things and feel so much better for having worked through my fear.
So this week, what fear will you start to change?
Over to you
If you find this daunting or you’re not sure what action to take, I’d love to help you. You can book a complimentary session via my online diary or leave a message on my contact page and we can spend 20 to 30 minutes to get clarity on how we can work together to create a life you love.

Great post and video, Lesley! Thanks for modelling so splendidly the art of ‘feeling the fear and doing it anyway’.
And a great tip to recall a time when we felt the fear, did it anyway and it went really well – there’s such a fantastic feeling and sense of achievement afterwards, and possibly a small part of us wondering what all the fuss was about in the first place ;).
Video is such a fabulous way to connect with our audience – I hope we’ll see more video tips from you soon.

Really enjoyed this and I’m hoping it’ll be the first of many more video blogs, Lesley! I agree with Linda – you are a perfect example of the point you are making. We’re all a work in progress but advice like this on how we can get there faster and more easily are much appreciated! Thank you!

Wow Lesley, great first video post! You’ve inspired me want to go and do one now! It’s a really lovely medium to both see and hear you and a great way of illustrating your own journey at the same time as encouraging others to face their fears. Really gives a sense of your authenticity and expertise. Looking forward to the next one!
